PPI Audi R8 Razor
Not one for subtleties, PPI has transformed the Audi R8 into a more exotic looking vehicle, and bumped up the horsepower as well. The PPI R8 features a whole new aerodynamic kit with an adjustable spoiler to keep the car stable at high speeds – something it is easily capable of. To get to the cars 180 mph top speed even quicker, PPI added 40 more horses for a grand total of 460 hp. Torque is also up by by 13 ft-lbs to a total of 343. Zero to 60 is now estimated as 4.4 seconds. The PPI R8 Razor also features carbon/magnesium wheels measuring 19x9-inches up front and 19x11-inches in the rear weighing just 17.2 lbs and 18.1 lbs respectively. The new MAG9 wheels are two part pieces with a nine-spoke magnesium center and carbon fiber rim.

ABT Sportsline R8
ABT also had an impressive looking R8 on display and they tell us a supercharger is still in the works. Horsepower should reach as high as 530 ponies, with the blower installed – which will really put the R8 in contention with it's older brother, the Gallardo.

9ff's 400 km/h Porsche
Called the GT9, 9ff showed off their seriously modified Porsche which they claim will hit and exceed the lofty 400 km/h mark. Looking every bit as capable as they say it is, the chop-top GT9 is a purpose built machine.

AC Schnitzer M3
If they hadn't specifically told us, we might have just passed my thinking it was another 335i with a body kit, but this is none other than the E92 M3. With a full aero kit, wheels and even a suspension and brake upgrade the AC Schnitzer M3 is a wild machine. As well, new air filers and a full exhaust improve performance.

Brabus SLR Roadster
You may or may not have seen the Brabus SLR before, so in case you haven't Brabus prepared this SLR Roadster just for the Essen Motor Show. With 20-inch wheels, more horsepower and some aerodynamic enhancements, the Mercedes tuners replicated their SLR coupe program for those who prefer to go topless. The sexy roadster receives a new front and rear end from Brabus, both of which help reduce lift and look damn good doing so. The supercharged 5.5L V8 sees and increase of 24 hp to a total of 650 thanks to new camshafts and a high performance exhaust. A new zero-60 time of 3.6 seconds is claimed by Brabus.

Cayenne Fever
The new Porsche Cayenne is quickly being gobbled up by German tuners. Gemballa, TechArt and 9ff all had models at the show. Even Swiss tuner Rinspeed tried their hand at the Cayenne.
